Stripe for Educators

Stripe as Tuii's payment provider

Tuii uses Stripe to process payments from all customers. Stripe is a PCI-Compliant payment gateway provider and is one of the most popular financial services providers on the internet.

How Tuii Uses Stripe

When you create a Booking and send this to a student or parent for payment, they will be redirected to Stripe to capture payment details. Tuii accepts Credit and Debit cards, Afterpay, Google Wallet & Apple Pay.

As part of your onboarding process with Tuii, you are provided with a Stripe account which you link to your bank account. Your Stripe account accrues funds as Bookings are paid for by your customers. Revenue that you generate through Tuii is deposited into your linked bank account via Stripe Payouts.

Requirements to use Stripe

As a minimum requirement to process payments through Tuii you need to have your identity validated via Stripe. You will be asked for 100 points of Photo ID during the Stripe setup process, this ID must match the country of your linked bank account. You will also need to provide additional information to Stripe such as your address and an accurate classification of the type of services you will be providing.

NB: Educators are not employed by or subcontractors of Tuii. Educators operate their own business and Tuii (as a software service) manages payments using Stripe.
